Profylactische middelen Voorwaarde: Geneesmiddelen ingeval van ziekterisico bij reizen worden niet vergoed door de basisverzekering. Indien geneesmiddelen worden verstrekt voor profylaxe van bijvoorbeeld malaria, hepatitis, gele koorts en DTP bij verre reizen zal dit niet door de basisverzekering worden vergoed.

Insurer

Health insurers have the option for a number of drugs to reimburse only certain variants (e.g., based on their pricing or price agreements between health insurer and drug manufacturer). We call this preference policy. If your health insurer has a preference policy for one or more drugs, it is stated in your insurance policy. If there is a medical necessity to use a more expensive variant of the drug anyway, your health insurer may deviate from the preference policy. The way in which health insurers implement the preference policy varies from one health insurer to another.
